Broccoli rice is prepared with 2 main ingredients. Rice and broccoli. It has a smooth and creamy texture, which most of the kids like it. My son liked it too. I cook this in pressure cooker, but it can be cooked easily in a pan with lid. Spices can be adjusted as per your kids taste. Try this recipe and share your feedback.

About the Recipe
This one is my Son’s one of favorite lunch/dinner. He love eating eat without tantrums. This recipe is so creamy and yummy, which kids love it. It can be make with salt and pepper or with some twist, add some natural sweetness to it by adding some dates. But as per my personal experience, salt and pepper work best.
- 1/4 cup rice
- 1 cup broccoli
- 1 garlic clove, very little ginger
- Salt and black pepper
- 2 tsp ghee
Step 1- Cut broccoli in small pieces and soak in salty water for 15 minutes, then rinse 2-3 times with clean water. Wash rice and chop garlic and ginger.
Step 2 – Take pressure cooker and add 2 tsp ghee. When ghee is hot add ginger and garlic and cook for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes add broccoli, salt as per taste (actually very little) and pinch of black pepper powder. Siri and then add 1/4 cup rice. Now add 2 cups water and close the lid and pressure cook for 3 whistles on low to medium heat.
Step 3- After 3 whistles, you can blend it with hand blender to make broccoli and rice smooth to eat by babies/kids or mash them with hand masher. Check seasoning and add if needed Now let it cook until room temperature before feeding to kids/babies.
Step 2 – You can add 2 cashews at the time of cooking to make broccoli rice more creamer.
