About the Recipe

Ingredients

  • 6 tomatoes
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 cup celery
  • 2 tbsp daliya (broken wheat)
  • 1 inch ginger and 8 garlic cloves
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp black pepper powder, 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter

Stepwise Directions

Step 1- wash and cut all vegetable in big chunks, and wash dailya with clean water.

Step 2 – Take a pressure cooker and add tomatoes, carrot, celery, garlic, ginger, dailya and water. Close the lid and cook for 3 whistles on medium to high heat. Let the steam be out before opening of pressure cooker lid.

Step 3 – Blend veggies with hand blender. If you want to use mixer grinder than separate water and pulp. Then let it cool the pulp and grind till smooth paste. Mix the water which you had separated and sieve to remove any extra unblended pieces. 

Step 4 –  Transfer the smooth pulp to soup pan and add salt, black pepper, sugar and butter. Butter can be salted or unsalted. Mix well and cover lid and cook for 5 minutes on low heat.

Note: plate in soup bowl, sprinkle some black pepper and serve hot to adults and serve warm to kids.
