OATS PANCAKES / HEALTHY BREAKFAST / WEIGHT LOSS SNACK RECIPE

Oats and semolina pancakes are very healthy. They can be enjoyed in breakfast or as a snack. Oats has lots of fiber which helps to reduce weight. So Oats pancakes can be enjoyed during weight loss journey. Easy to make, can be customized with choice of vegetables.

Oats and semolina pancakes are very healthy. They can be enjoyed in breakfast or as a snack. Oats has lots of fiber which helps to reduce weight. So Oats pancakes can be enjoyed during weight loss journey. Easy to make, can be customized with choice of vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup instant oats, 1/4 cup semolina
  • 1/4 cup fresh yogurt, 1 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup chopped carrots, 1 onion
  • Fresh coriander leaves, 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • Oil- around 1 tbsp or less

Stepwise Directions

Step 1- Take a pan and add 1 cup instant oats. Dry roast them for 1-2 minutes. Transfer it to mixer jar and grind coarsely. Add it to mixing bowl.

Step 2 – In the mixing bowl, add 1/4 cup semolina, 1/4 cup fresh yogurt. Mix all then add 1 cup water. Mix well, no lumps. Then add 1/2 tsp salt OR as per your taste, mix again and let it rest for 15 minutes.

Step 3 – After 15 minutes, semolina and oats has absorbed all the water. Add chopped carrots, fresh coriander leaves and onion (you can also add chopped capsicum, cabbage). Mix them and add 1/2 cup water. Mix and make the batter to pouring consistency. In the last add 1/2 tsp black pepper powder and mix.

Step 4 – Take a flat pan and grease it with minimal oil. When flat pan is medium heat, add 2 tbsp batter and spread. Try to make thin as possible. Then let it cook for 2 minutes on low to medium heat. After 2 minutes apply some oil on top and flip upside down. Cook another 2 minutes from another side. When cooked well from both the sides, take it out in a plate. Make all pancakes with same process. 

Note  – Enjoy with ketchup and chutney.
