QUESADILLA – केसाडिला / CHEESE STUFFED PARATHA/ KIDS RECIPE

There are many variations of quesadilla. Here I am sharing my simple go to recipe. This recipe is my Daughter’s favorite. She likes only cheese, no veggie or beans in her quesadilla. You can them in evening snack or as a whole meal.

ABOUT THE RECIPE 

There are many variations of quesadilla. Here I am sharing my simple go to recipe. This recipe is my Daughter’s favorite. She likes only cheese, no veggie or beans in her quesadilla. You can them in evening snack or as a whole meal.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 cup cheese, 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp chili flakes
  • Butter for making quesadilla

DIRECTION

STEP-1:  Take a big mixing bowl and add 2 cups whole wheat flour. Also add 1/2 tsp salt and 1 tbsp oil. Mix all and start adding water slowly. Knead smooth dough same like Roti/Paratha. Once dough is ready, cover and let it rest for 15 minutes. 

STEP -2: Grate 1/2 cup processed cheese (You can take any brand). Divide into 2 portions. Add 1/4 tsp black pepper powder in one portion, and chili flakes in other half portion. Mix and keep aside. 

STEP -3: Dough is well rested for 15 minutes. Knead again for few seconds and take small size of dough, roll between palms and make smooth dough ball. We need 2 dough balls for 1 quesadilla. Now dust dough ball with dry flour and roll it with rolling pin. Roll thin and try to roll both same size. Then put flat pan on gas and let it heat up. Then place one roti on flat pan. We will cook without any butter or oil from one side only. Then take it out and place another roti and cook from one side. Now keep the cooked side of roti up and spread grated cheese evenly. And then place anther cooked roti on top of cheese then press gently (cooked side on top of cheese). Now add little butter on flat pan and place quesadilla with help of spatula. Let it cook on slow to medium heat. Apply some butter on top and flip upside down. Cook from both sides until golden brown or crispy. 

STEP -4: Place cooked quesadilla on chopping board and cut your desired shapes. Try to cut when it’s hot. Enjoy quesadilla with ketchup or any other sauce of your choice. Serve hot.
